The Police Athletic League (PAL) presents the 2nd Annual Midnight Basketball Program. This special event is calling all boys ages 13 through 17 to participate in a six-week program starting Friday, April 13th and will run every Friday and Saturday night for six full weeks until May 19th. The objective of this program is to reduce juvenile crime by offering engaging activities to young teens. Midnight Basketball will also give local Cobb County police officers a chance to interact with the youth and residents in a safe and constructive environment.

During the six-week program, participants will take part in each session, including a life skill workshop for 6th to 12th-grade students to learn how to communicate with others effectively without using any form of violence. There will also be a guest speaker present to discuss topics that can help a young teen become a productive citizen. Here are a few topics in which a guest speaker is going to discuss during the first hour of each scheduled meeting.

  • Ethics
  • Communication
  • Decision Making
  • Discipline
  • Professionalism
  • Conflict Management
  • Respect
