Spring is finally here! Bring your kids and family members to discover the wonderful world of seasonal crafts, special activities, and cuddly baby animals. The Fernbank Museum of Natural History is having the Little Critters Discovery Day this Saturday, March 31st.

Kids and adults of all ages will enjoy participating in several fun activities in time for the Easter holiday. Activities include the Sam’s Path Petting Zoo for ages four and up to meet and pet baby animals. Visitors will get a chance to participate in crafts, such as the Egg Basket Craft and Little Critter Craft. These fun-filled activities will bring out the creative side of each child. The Egg Basket Craft is designed for participants to color a paper bag basket to show prize-filled eggs. The Little Critter Craft will allow kids to create their own critter with an adorable clothespin craft.

Ongoing activities also include the FurKids Animal Rescue and Shelters. This portion of the event is a meet and greet opportunity to help find cuddly puppies a permanent home. Preschoolers can hear a featured story by a Fernbank educator. The featured story will be Guess What Is Growing Inside This Egg by Mia Posada. Story time will take place inside the Naturalist Center at 11:30 a.m.

The Georgia Tech Urban Honeybee Project is featured for kids and adults to see live honey bees and learn how they pollinate plants.

Enjoy tasty treats by GoGo Squeez applesauce and indulge your taste buds into a selection of icy popsicles called King of Pops.
