Summer is officially here for students who are out of school and looking to get into plenty of summer activities. However, this season can cause children of all ages to fall victim to an abduction and other dangerous circumstances. These type of events can happen without the presence of a parent or guardian.
The team at Volkswagen of Marietta is presenting the Operation Kidsafe Regional Child Safety Day on Saturday, June 9th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The objective is to gear up parents for a family safety plan in the event a child is missing or in immediate danger. Parents, guardians, and children are encouraged to participate in this program to receive a complimentary child safety kit, including a custom digital fingerprint unit, and photograph. This is the kind of equipment the FBI and Secret Service use for legal purposes. A specialized digital imagery equipment will only be provided to participants for a limited engagement.
First responders will be on site to help attendees in need of medical attention during the event. This fun-filled family engagement is to promote safety awareness for all children ages 1 and older. The fingerprinting and photograph screening will be made available free and private for parents.
The Operation Kidsafe Regional Child Safety Day kicks off on Saturday, June 9th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Volkswagen of Marietta. The address is 1860 Cobb Parkway South, Marietta, Georgia 30060. For more information, call 770.955.6565 or send an email to operationkidsafe22@gmail.com.
